What is the ITP and when is it paid? ▼
The ITP (Impuesto de Transmisiones Patrimoniales) taxes the purchase of resale homes and is always paid by the buyer, usually within 30 working days or one month from the deed. New homes pay 10% VAT instead of ITP.
What value does this calculator use for the tax? ▼
The price you enter. Bear in mind that legally the taxable base is the cadastral reference value or the price if higher: check the property's reference value at the Cadastre's online office before signing.
Does it include my region's reliefs? ▼
Yes. The calculator applies the most common regional reduced rates and reliefs: young buyers, large or single-parent families, disability, victims, subsidised housing or sparsely populated areas, always selecting the most beneficial rate applicable to your case.
Is the result exact? ▼
